True. He had a pathetic year, but came back to win the Olympic doubles Gold and the US Open.

"came back"??? Not sure about that. There are some very serious kinks in the way he is playing now. Footwork is not so sublime anymore. I don't count the doubles gold as an achievement, we are talking about Federer here. US Open is good one but he even lost tournaments to lesser opponents between Wimbledon and the US open. So we have to watch if he is really back or not. Year ending Masters and Aussie Open will be a good signal.
